Kielbasa and Cabbage

What You Need:

  1. 6 slices bacon
  2. 1/4 cup water
  3. 1 chopped white onion (or red, but definitely not yellow)
  4. 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  5. 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
  6. 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
  7. 3 teaspoons caraway seeds
  8. 1 large head cabbage, cut into small wedges
  9. 1 pound Polish kielbasa

What You Do:

  1. In a large skillet, fry bacon over medium high heat until browned, turning once.
  2. Remove bacon from pan, keep the oil in the pain, and place on paper towels.
  3. Stir water, onions, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and caraway seeds into oil.
  4. Add cabbage, and stir.
  5. Cover, and cook over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
  6. Add kielbasa to the pan.
  7. Cook, covered, for an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
  8. Crumble bacon over top, and serve soon-to-be-happy people!
